sinecure: Sookie Stackhouse in B&W (True Blood - Sookie in B&W by me)
Bad graphics card is bad. Bah. It was less than a year old. I call foul. *sigh* I'm back now, with a new graphics card. Did ya miss me? *bats eyes* 'Cause I know you totally noticed me gone. ;)

So, I'm completely obsessed with the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I'm halfway through the 6th book, and I'm getting freakin' fic ideas and may have written a small one involving Eric. *headslamdesk* Please make it stop. I have enough fandoms I'm writing in with 50 billion unfinished fics and I can't handle another one, make it STOP! *breathes*

Yeah. Um.

You guys going through a heatwave right now, I'm so sorry. I feel for you. It's been mid to high 90s here for the past few weeks, but it went way down yesterday and now it's 66F. Actually kind of chilly. And it's starting to rain as I type. Again. I wish you cooler temps!

*resists watching season 3 of True Blood* I want to watch it all at once and it's only a few episodes in so far... and I know I'm not going to be happy with it considering the difference between the books and the show. Beeeeeeeeeeeeehl bores me. Team Eric! Ha. Speaking of team this or that, my youngest niece--she's a teen--is 'Team Jacob-and-Edward-should-die', her words. She's so awesome.

I think I love this Sookie icon.

Glowing and glamouring and sparkling, oh, my!

Ack! Ack! I feel dirty and filthy and slimy. I just looked up the Twilight book series to see when the first one was published and-- *shudders*

Reason why I wanted to know? I recently watched the first 2 seasons of True Blood and I'm just a little ways into the 3rd book and I wondered which came first, the Twilight series or the Sookie Stackhouse novels. Sookie came first. I'm not saying there was any thievery. I'm not saying it. How do I know what the Twilight books/films are about? I read [personal profile] cleolinda's recaps of the books, and the movies. And I watched the first two as riffed by Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbet at Rifftrax. Funny shit.

I keep thinking of things to talk about on here, and I write it in my head, but then I never actually post. *shrug* It's a thing. A lazy, lazy thing. Though I will soon be posting icons--True Blood--and some textures. And a fic chapter I didn't post last week.

...soon.

I'm curious: is cussing, to you, a reason to change the adult content option to Adult of any kind on LJ? Like this post, I used one cuss word. I don't consider that adult content. Do you? How bad does the cussing have to be to be considered adult content for you? For me... the cussing never really makes it adult, so long as I'm not talking about sex stuff. Huh. That's probably a very American POV. However, I don't think cursing should be bleeped out of tv and regulated and shit. Oh, there I did it again.

*cries* Now I have Twilight tags.
